AIR February Workshop: Intro to Photographic Screenprinting

Learn the basics of photographic screenprinting and it’s applications in a relaxed studio atmosphere at Artists Image Resource (AIR). Participants will learn how to prepare an image for the screen using Adobe Photoshop software, coat and expose a screen, engineer a multiple color print, and CMYK (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and Black) process printing.

This is an introductory to mid-level printmaking class. No prior knowledge of printmaking is required. Experienced printmakers are encouraged to join the class to re-learn skills. The instructor will customize the final assignment based on participants’ interests and the images they bring to class. Printing doesn’t stop here! After this class you’ll be confident to use AIR’s Open Studio hours!

The Intro to Photographic Screenprinting Workshop runs for four sessions from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursdays, February 6, 13, 20, and 27. For more information, visit the Intro to Photographic Screenprinting Workshop event page, or email info@artistsimageresource.org.
