Produce to People Available for Qualified Households

Produce to People is the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s large-scale produce distribution program. Each qualified family can receives 30-45 pounds of food, mostly fresh produce. Produce to People is an additional resource to your local pantry – you can come to as many distributions as you need to, and still attend your local pantry.

Who qualifies for assistance? Any Pennsylvania household qualifies if they:
• Earn income within 150 percent of the poverty line
• Receive social services like Medicare, Social Security, unemployment, free or reduced-price school lunches
• Have a temporary emergency condition (for example: fire, loss of power, job loss)

The Northside Produce to People distribution center is Pittsburgh King PreK-8, located at 50 Montgomery Place. Distribution will take place from 10:00 am until noon on Saturdays, September 16October 21November 18, and December 16.
