21+ Holiday Party at Carnegie Science Center

Come to Carnegie Science Center for their annual 21+ Holiday Party! This year the Science Center will be celebrating the newest model on their Miniature Railroad & Village®, the Crawford Grill. Opened in the Hill District in 1930, the Crawford Grill became a renowned jazz club. So deck yourself out in your 1930s Sunday best as you celebrate the holiday season with jazz, dancing, and drinks!

For the night, the Works Theater will be turned into a dance club. Pittsburgh Dance Center will provide introductory dance lessons to ’30s and ’40s-era dances. Learn basic steps to swing, foxtrot, or Charleston, then put your moves to work in the fun atmosphere of the Works Theater. Enjoy live jazz music in the Robot Lounge from local group Jazz Conspiracy.

During the evening, you can also participate in hands-on holiday themed science fun! Make fake snow, test pH using an indicator made from poinsettias, play with circuits and discover why when one bulb goes out they all go out, and so much more.

The 21+ Holiday Party will take place on Friday, December 18, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Carnegie Science Center. For more information, or to purchase your tickets, visit the 21+ Night event page.
