ACCA & MWSS Joint Community Meeting

Please join your neighbors for a Joint Community Meeting of Allegheny City Central Association and the Mexican War Streets Society to discuss the Guidelines for the Mexican War Street Historic District and the Expanded District Boundaries.
This meeting is being held so that residents of the Mexican War Streets Historic District, including the expanded district boundaries, can gain an understanding of efforts by the Department of City Planning (DCP) to update the Mexican War Streets Historic District Design Guidelines for the Issuance of Certificates of Appropriateness. DCP is working with consulting firm, evolveEA, on this effort.

This Meeting Replaces ACCA’s Normally Scheduled Monthly Meeting.
The Location for this Meeting is Alphabet City.

A DRAFT of the updated Mexican War Streets Design Guidelines is now available online on the Department of City Planning’s Engage page. If you prefer, you can download a DRAFT copy of the Guidelines.

Upcoming ACCA Meetings and National Night Out Event
ACCA does not hold a Membership Meeting in August. Instead, ACCA is hosting National Night Out on Tuesday August 4, 2026 on Arch Street – from Jacksonia Street to Gentry Way – between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. More information about National Night Out can be found on ACCA’s website.
Please join us for National Night Out and help spread the word!
ACCA is looking for volunteers who can help prior to and during National Night Out. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out ACCA’s National Night Out Volunteer Form.
The next regularly scheduled ACCA Membership Meeting will be Monday, September 14, 2026. Location to be determined.
ACCA meetings are open to the public and all are welcome. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month. We encourage you to become a member so that you can vote. Dues are $5 and can be paid online on ACCA’s website, in person, or by regular mail.
