MCG Jazz Celebrates 30 Years of Jazz

On Wednesday, November 9, at 7:00 pm, MCG Jazz welcomes Acoustic Alchemy at MCG Jazz, located at 1815 Metropolitan Street, in Manchester.
Since 1987, Acoustic Alchemy has pushed the limits of the acoustic guitar’s potential by embracing a spectrum of musical styles ranging from straight-ahead jazz to folk to rock to world music and beyond without being limited to any specific genre. Guitarists Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale celebrate a remarkable two decades plus since 1987’s Red Dust and Spanish Lace established the British ensemble as an ever evolving, powerhouse force in contemporary jazz.
