Battle of the Slams!
Saturday, February 25 at 6:00 pm
Watch teams from Buffalo, Columbus, and Cleveland battle the #SteelCitySlam for sweet victory, annual bragging rights, and to qualify for the National Poetry Slam in Denver!! This event is hosted by the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective, an organization that provides a space for self-expression, identity exploration, and social justice via spoken word leagues, performances, and community writing workshops. They welcome any opportunity for lyrical mayhem and believe that performance poetry heals, connects, articulates, and shares experiences as well as differences. Find out who reigns supreme in this regional rivalry where words will elevate the winner in the eyes of the crowd! The Pittsburgh Poetry Collective charges $10 for tickets at the door or through their event site
