Artists Image Resource Presents DIGS – Sexism in the Arts

Artists Image Resource (AIR) presents DIGS – Sexism in the Arts, an Exhibition of Observation and Conversation about Sexism / Ageism / Racism and Discrimination Against Women.

This exhibition focuses on women in different stages of their career, and their lives, creating artwork based on sexism and how it intersects with age and/or race. This powerful exhibition shares personal stories and observations about sexism, and how it connects with all of these factors. Curated by Carolyn Pierotti of Purple Room Fine Art, this exhibition includes artists Marlene Boas, Jenn Wertz, Oreen Cohen, Staycee Pearl, Sam Thorp, Danielle Robinson, Dawn Pogany, Julie Mallis, Sarika Goulatia, Christiane D., Ivette Spradlin, and Lenore Thomas.

An Opening Reception for the exhibit will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Artists Image Resource, located at 518 Foreland Street in Historic Deutschtown.
