Café Scientifique Presents Discussion of Local Water Quality

Come to Café Scientifique at Carnegie Science Center to learn more about the latest technology breakthroughs in normal English, minus the jargon. Café Sci is THE place in Pittsburgh where anyone interested in science can get together at a scientific hub to discuss today’s science issues with experts, and best of all, you can ask your own questions!

On Monday, August 1, guest speaker, Gina CyprychEnvironmental Compliance Coordinator for Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority will discuss Local Water Quality. Learn how Pittsburgh’s drinking water is captured from the Allegheny River and treated. After the brief talk, the evening is dedicated to a question-and-answer session. Plus, you can enjoy a pub-type atmosphere with food and drinks available for purchase. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the program is from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Carnegie Science Center. Admission is free! For more information, visit the Café Scientifique event page.
