Carnegie Museum of Art (CMOA) is offering weekly classes in Art Meditations. Each class will begin with an introduction to a work of art that will serve as inspiration for the activities done in class. Classes will be held online via Zoom and are Pay-What-You-Wish. After registering for a single class or the entire series, you will receive an email with the Zoom link needed to attend the classes.
February Weekly Art Meditations
Sundays, February 14, 21, and 28 from 1:00 to 1:30 pm
Take a moment to slow your pace in this 30-minute guided art meditation series with instructor Lydia Kilian. Works of art from the museum’s collection will serve as inspiration for achieving balance and a sense of inner calm or insight. Visualization exercises, breath awareness, noting techniques, and loving-kindness meditations are just a few of the practices explored on this journey. This series is appropriate for all levels of practitioners.
