Carnegie Museum of Art (CMOA) is offering weekly classes in Art Meditation. Each class will begin with an introduction to a work of art that will serve as inspiration for the activities done in class. Classes will be held online via Zoom and are Pay-What-You-Wish. After registering for a single class or an entire series, you will receive an email with the Zoom link needed to attend the classes.
January Weekly Art Meditation
Sundays, January 10, 17, and 24 from 1:00 to 1:30 pm
Take a moment to slow your pace in this 30-minute guided art meditation series with instructor Lydia Kilian. Each Sunday, works of art from the museum’s collection serve as inspiration for achieving balance and a sense of inner calm or insight. Visualization exercises, breath awareness, noting techniques, and loving-kindness meditations are just a few of the practices explored on this journey. This series is appropriate for all levels of practitioners.
