You are invited to Allegheny Commons to celebrate the new partnership between the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Northside Leadership Conference, and Allegheny Commons Initiative.The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is thrilled to stand alongside these community groups to announce a formal partnership. The collaborative will be holding a Press Conference to declare this fresh initiative and to release plans for a new Capital Project in the Commons.
Speakers for the event include: Councilwoman Darlene Harris (Council District 1), John Francona (Steering Committee Chair, Allegheny Commons Initiative), Meg Cheever (President and Founder of Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy), Mark Fatla (Executive Director, Northside Leadership Conference), and Mrs. Dan Rooney (Steering Committee Member and Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Board Member).
The Press Conference will be held on Monday, March 30 at 2:00 pm in Allegheny Commons near the George Washington Monument. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the National Aviary. Plan to attend this event to celebrate this new partnership and to hear future plans for our park, Allegheny Commons.
