Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at City Books
Independent Bookstore Day is here. In celebration, City Books invites you to stop in and say hello! City Books will be open on Saturday, April 30 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. Jakob Posti will provide musical entertainment from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.
At City Books, you will find a new selection of gently used books that have been traded in over the last two weeks, including contemporary fiction, local history, and (affordable!) literary collectibles. You can start shopping early for Mother’s Day with discounts on candles from North Ave Candles. Also, Saturday is the final day to enter the Garrison Keillor ticket giveaway for his sold out show on Sunday, May 15 at 3:30 pm at the Hillman Center for Performing Arts. City Books is located at 908 Galveston Avenue in neighboring Allegheny West.
