Bringing extraordinary and unique experiences to young people, the EQT Children’s Theater Festival is dedicated to continuing the tradition of theater for your children. Live performances engage people from different cultures and perspectives, showing them different ways to express ideas. This year the 29th Festival celebrates another year downtown in Pittsburgh’s vibrant Cultural District.
This year, the EQT Children’s Theater Festival will include:
- Featured performances from The Netherlands, Mexico, Denmark, Scotland and Australia!
- Pop-up LilyPad Park at the center of the Festival – this year bigger and better!
- Over 40 FREE hands-on educational and cultural activities!
- Family-friendly gallery installations, public art and interactive art!
- FREE outdoor Community Stage performances featuring local and regional artists!
- Frog Stop Scavenger Hunt throughout the Cultural District featuring a free kid’s cone prize from Dream Cream Ice Cream!
The EQT Children’s Theater Festival will be held from Thursday, May 14 to Sunday, May 17. The featured performances and ground hours are 10:00 am until 7:00 pm.
