City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It promises to be a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. Come to a free family-friendly musical event with 123 Andres! Latin Grammy-winning 123 Andrés will be in concert for kids and families at Alphabet City! Travel with Andrés around the Americas, while you learn or practice your Spanish. Get ready to sing, jump and dance in this high-energy, interactive show. 123 Andrés will get the whole family moving and singing in Spanish and English. 123 Andrés performs at venues like the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, and at festivals in Latin America. His second album, Arriba Abajo, recently won the Latin Grammy for Best Children’s Album, as well as the Parents Choice Gold Award.
