City of Asylum Presents Sembène Film Festival: (T)ERROR

City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It promises to be a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. Sembène Film Festival: (T)ERROR

Come to Alphabet City for a free screening of (T)ERROR, presented in partnership with Sembène – The Film & Art Festival and City of Asylum. (T)ERROR is the first film to infiltrate a covert counterterrorism sting, with filmmakers documenting the action in real time as it unfolds on the ground. Viewers get an unfettered glimpse of the government’s counterterrorism tactics and the murky justifications behind them through the perspective of a 63-year-old Black revolutionary turned FBI informant.
