City of Asylum Hosts Storytelling with Alan Irvine

In conjunction with The Andy Warhol Museum’s newest exhibition, Andy Warhol & Ai Weiwei, City of Asylum will present stories from China, featuring Pittsburgh storyteller Alan Irvine.

Alan Irvine is a great and humorous storyteller based in Pittsburgh who has kept everyone huddled close to his chair even when he is not around a campfire. Alan tells his tales at many diverse venues. He is an Outreach performer for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. He appears at elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the year, as well as at colleges and universities. For libraries he creates Summer Reading Club programs for kids, ghost stories for teens, and tales of Pennsylvania history and current events for adults.

Children’s Storytelling with Alan Irvine is free and will be performed on Sunday, June 5 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Alphabet City Tent, located at 318 Sampsonia Way. For more information, or to reserve your free seat, visit the Children’s Storytelling with Alan Irvine event page, call 412-323-0278, or email info@cityofasylumpittsburgh.org.
