You are invited to be part of the City of Asylum Book Club. The July book club selection is Frankenstein in Baghdad by Iraqi novelist, poet, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker, Ahmed Saadawi. A prizewinning novel, Frankenstein in Baghdad captures with white-knuckle horror and black humor the surreal reality of contemporary Iraq.
The next meeting of the City of Asylum Book Club will take place on Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00 pm at City of Asylum Bookstore @ Alphabet City.
