Compliance/Resistance at Neu Kirche

The Bach Emerging Residency Program of Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center welcomes New Zealand artist Kelly McDowell. During her residency she is collaborating with local Pittsburgh artist, Celeste Neuhaus, on a series of performance-based works. This series explores concepts of identity as related to Kelly’s position as a visiting New Zealander within this new social environment and context.

Compliance/Resistance is a performance event by Kelly McDowell and Celeste Neuhaus, curated with Adam Welch debuting at Neu Kirche. The project draws from common themes regarding gender, the body and human connectivity.
