City of Asylum is excited to present Camille T. Dungy, author of Trophic Cascade and editor of Black Nature: Four Centuries of African Nature Poetry and History in the series Eco-Justice for All! Poetry Confronts Climate Catastrophe. Dungy has introduced new ways of thinking about nature poetry while honoring the contribution of African American poets in this genre. Poet Laureate of Allegheny County Celeste Gainey will join Camille T. Dungy in conversation about her work and approach to writing with environmental justice in mind. This is a virtual-only event live-streamed on City of Asylum @ Home.
