412 Food Rescue, in conjunction with the USDA’s Farmers to Families program, joins forces with PAART – Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team – to distribute food boxes and pet food!
The Northside Drive Up Farmers to Families Food Box and Pet Food Distribution will be held on Wednesday, December 23 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Gold Lot 1 next to Heinz Field on Art Rooney Avenue. Recipients should enter from Art Rooney Avenue.
Volunteers Needed to Help Distribute Food
412 Food Rescue is in need of volunteers to lift and load 30 LB food boxes and up to 50 LB pet food bags into peoples’ cars, and assist with walk-up requests. This is a very special way to ensure that the food that farmers grow make it to those in need and families to help care for their pets.
Volunteers should arrive at Gold Lot 1 next to Heinz Field on Art Rooney Avenue on Wednesday, December 23 at 10:45 am to be ready for the food distribution at 12:00 pm.
For more details, or to register as a volunteer, visit the Northside Drive Up Farmers to Families Food Box and Pet Food Distribution event page.
