Join LDI XXII, a program of Leadership Pittsburgh Inc., in this year’s PopUp! Pittsburgh project, Fresh Fest! Fresh Fest will be a fun-filled afternoon of exciting entertainment and family-friendly activities in Pittsburgh’s lively Northside neighborhood of California-Kirkbride. Based on the farm-to-table concept, Fresh Fest will be full of exciting opportunities to entertain the entire family.
Be sure not to miss two of the highlight events of the day:
- Food Feud – Food Feud is going to be all out cooking competition between California-Kirkbride neighborhood residents and local celebrity chefs during three rounds of competition – vegetable, meat, and pre-made baked good. A panel of judges including local celebrities and neighborhood residents will choose the winner of each round and an overall best dish winner.
- Farm n’ Fun – You’ll want to spend some family time in Farm n’ Fun, a kids zone full of hands-on activities. Included will be a make and take area where kids can create their own dish to take home or to eat right there. And, be sure to check out the farm exploration tasting section where kids will learn about different farming practices through engaging demonstrations.
Fresh Fest will be held in Jacksonia Parklet at the corner of Brighton Place and Mero Way in neighboring California-Kirkbride on Saturday, May 16, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. To keep up-to-date with all the latest Fresh Fest details, visit the California-Kirkbride Fresh Fest event page.
