Girls Write Pittsburgh Holds Weekly Workshops at Alphabet City

Girls Write Pittsburgh is holding a weekly writing workshop on the Northside for self-identified girls age 13-18. Facilitated by professional writers, these workshops encourage participants to bring something that they’ve written to share, or write something new during the hour-long sessions. The Northside facilitator, Allie Reznik, is dedicated to empowering students through mentoring and teaching strong communication skills.

The Girls Write Pittsburgh Workshops will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 pm each Wednesday from January 31 to June 27 at City of Asylum @ Alphabet City. The workshops are FREE, drop-in, and open to the public. All you need to do is bring in a completed application to participate.

Girls Write Pittsburgh is the city’s only program designed to empower self-identified teen girls through the creative expression of writing, exposing them to a world of opportunity, through the craft. Learn more about the Girls Write Pittsburgh organization.
