INSTALL: Afternoons @ the Factory – Winter Session

Youth in grades 3-5 can spend Wednesday afternoons hanging out at the Mattress Factory during the Winter Session of INSTALL: Afternoons @ the Factory!  Participating students will work directly with artists to explore themes such as collaboration, tolerance, and spatial experience, all within the context of contemporary art practice. Artists and museum educators provide academic, emotional, and creative support while broadening students’ way of thinking and increasing exposure to adults with diverse backgrounds and careers.

INSTALL’s Winter Session’s topic will be ZODIAC SPIRIT, with teaching artist Marlon Fullenwider. What parts of the zodiac do students identify with? When thinking about different qualities, how do those qualities guide us in everyday life? How can these qualities move us towards a brighter future? Students will answer each of these questions through this 6-week course that explores self-identity through the zodiac lens!

The Winter Session of INSTALL: Afternoons @ the Factory is FREE for students and will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesdays, January 8 to February 12 at the Mattress Factory. For more information, or to register, visit the INSTALL: Afternoons @ the Factory event page.
