Artists: Get advice on your current projects, discuss germinating ideas, or just come and be part of the conversation! Open Critique is a welcoming, casual forum for creative minds to share ideas, get feedback and build peer support. All mediums and artistic practices are welcome!
A professional guest critic guides the discussion with quality advice to help propel your project forward. May’s Open Critique guest critic will be Sean Derry, IUP Professor and Alloy PGH Furnace organizer.
Wondering what to bring? Just bring yourself or come with documentation (digital or physical) of recent or in-progress work. The setting is informal. If you’re presenting work, you are encouraged to focus on one piece or a related series of works for the discussion. Bring along a snack to share. NK will provide some refreshments.
Open Critique is held every second Wednesday of the month. The May Open Critique with Sean Derry will be held on Wednesday, May 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center, located at 1000 Madison Avenue in neighboring East Deutschtown. Numbers may be limited, so visit the Neu Kirche online store for tickets to secure your place, or contact admin@neukirche.org.
