The Mattress Factory’s Mini-Factory is a free interactive learning program designed specifically for children ages 3 to 5 years old with their parents and/or caregivers. The program uses contemporary installation art as the basis for enabling parents and educators to explore big ideas.
Young children will discover a variety of themes and installations at the Mattress Factory, participate in story-time related to the theme, and work on a collaborative project in the Mini-Factory. The Mini-Factory is a mobile, adaptable pop-up space children can help to build and use to explore new ideas and concepts. Young artists will participate in projects that promote making and sharing.
Mini-Factory is free, but space is limited. RSVP to education@mattress.org or by calling 412-231-3169. Parents must accompany children and participate in the activities with their child. You can sign up for any of the workshops individually.
Mini-Factory: LIGHT starts at 10 am on Saturday, December 13. For more information, visit the Mattress Factory’s Youth Programs webpage.
