National Aviary Hosts Birding Expedition at Cook Forest

You are invited to join National Aviary‘s Ornithologist Bob Mulvihill for a Birding Expedition to Cook Forest. Cook Forest is the southern outpost for many northern bird species, like Swainson’s Thrush, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Dark-eyed Junco, Winter Wren, and Blackburnian Warbler. In addition to seeing and hearing these birds, you will experience one of the rarest and most impressive habitats in all of Pennsylvania – old-growth hemlock forest. This is Penn’s Woods at its very best!

The Birding Expedition to Cook Forest will be held on Saturday, July 10 from 8:30 to 11:30 am. Birdwatchers will travel separately to meet up with Bob Mulvihill at Cook Forest. Safety protocols including face masks and physical distancing will be observed. For more information, or to purchase your ticket, visit the Birding Expeditions with Bob Mulvihill event page.
