National Aviary Hosts Offsite Owl Prowls in Pittsburgh Parks

Bird and nature lovers are invited to join National Aviary ornithologist, Bob Mulvihill, for an offsite Owl Prowl adventure. Owl Prowls are guided, after-dark nature walks to look and listen for owls in Pittsburgh’s local parks. Bob will bring a calling device to coax owls closer as he leads the group through wooded paths. Participants will enjoy a fascinating discussion about owls and their unique adaptations, as well as an introduction to the species of owls that can be found in the area.

The first Owl Prowl will take place at the Lower Frick Park Play Area on Wednesday, January 23. The second Owl Prowl will be on Thursday, January 31 at an Allegheny Land Trust property in Sewickley. Both programs will begin promptly at 7:00 pm and last until at 9:00 pm or later.

For more information, visit the Owl Prowls event page. To reserve your space, email Audrey Beichner or call 412-258-9463
