16th National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: October 27

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Held twice annually, this event helps to rid homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be hosting the 16th National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 27, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Northside residents can bring pills for disposal to the Police Headquarters, located at 1203 Western Avenue, or to the Zone 1 Police Station, located at 1501 Brighton Road. These drop-off sites will ensure the safe disposal of prescription drugs.
