National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.

Individuals can drop off unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications at no cost during the nationwide Drug Take Back Day. Numerous locations will be available throughout southwestern Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Northside residents can drop off unused medications at the facilities of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police located at 1203 Western Avenue, or the Zone 1 Police Station located at 1501 Brighton Road.
