The homecoming exhibition of Pittsburgh born artist Cory Elder, [of] gives the viewer a glimpse inside the origins of Cory’s new body of amorphic narrative paintings. Influenced by his realist background and the pursuit of visual story telling, Cory’s artwork evolved from a personal mythology, into an invented language, to abstractions representing thoughts on Faith, Perception, Truth, and Intent.
The [of] exhibition Opening Reception will take place on Saturday, February 21, from 6:00 until 10:00 pm at Artists Image Resource. You will have the opportunity to listen and talk with Cory Elder about his new body of work at 7:00 pm. Artists Image Resource (AIR) is an artist-run, nonprofit printmaking studio located at 518 Foreland Street in neighboring Deutschtown.
[of] will be on exhibit until Sunday, March 1. The Opening Reception and Artist Talk are free and open to the public. For more information about the exhibit and the opening event, visit the [of] Exhibition Opening event page.
