ReelQ: Out in the Dark (Israel)
Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 pm
Come to a free screening of Out in the Dark presented by ReelQ and JFilm. Compelling and intimate, Michael Mayer’s tense first feature follows a border-crossing relationship between an Israeli lawyer and an increasingly desperate Palestinian student. One fateful night in Tel Aviv, Nimer meets Roy, an Israeli lawyer, and the two fall in love. They are both faced with the harsh realities of a Palestinian society that refuses to accept Nimer for his sexual identity, and an Israeli society that rejects him for his nationality.
