Parents, come learn about the NEU GIRLS weekly after-school program for Northside girls ages 7-18. The Parent Information Night will include a presentation, examples of work, and an introduction to a few of the teaching artists. Refreshments will be provided.
NEU GIRLS focuses on developing skills in photography, printmaking, zine making, and exhibition design through a ten-month program. NEU GIRLS will explore technical processes through extended projects, critiques and field trips led by guest artists and partner art organizations that bolster Neu Kirche’s holistic approach towards supporting collaboration and women in the arts.
The NEU GIRLS Parent Information Session is free and will be held on Thursday, July 23, from 7:00 until 8:00 pm, at Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center, located at 1000 Madison Avenue in neighboring East Deutschtown.
The NEU GIRLS Program is being held in partnership with Artist Image Resource.
