‘Petite Suite’ Presented by Bell’Art Ensemble

City of Asylum Hosts Free Virtual Events

City of Asylum @ Alphabet City, located at 40 West North Avenue, is the permanent home for City of Asylum programming and the arts. It promises to be a hub for Pittsburgh’s readers and writers, jazz and small-scale music and performance, and artistic experimentation. It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. It also serves as a home for many partnering artists and organizations in our own community. To view all of the events that are scheduled, or to register, visit the Alphabet City website.

‘Petite Suite’ Presented by Bell’Art Ensemble
Sunday, October 11 from 5:00 to 6:15 pm
The Bell’Art Ensemble presents a program of music that honors the idea and experience of childhood. From children’s dreams to evocative sketches, the ensemble highlights vignettes designed to bring out the child in all of us. In this time of quarantine and family isolation, we need a reminder of the power of imagination, play and wonder. Featured Musicians are Raquel Winnica Young (mezzo-soprano), Lenny Young (oboe), Ashley Freeburn (violin), Billie Jo Miller (piano), and Jack Kurutz (piano).
