The Priory Hosts 2nd Annual Spargel Dinner

You are invited to The Priory for a German American Chamber of Commerce Spargel “White Asparagus” Dinner. Spargel, a German delicacy, is a tender white asparagus which is carefully cultivated underground so that it receives no sunlight and thus has has no chlorophyll, resulting in a very light texture and white color. Each May harvest, German towns host Spargel celebrations, pairing traditional dishes with the rare white vegetable.

The 2nd annual Spargel Dinner will be held at The Priory on Thursday, May 11 from 5:00 until 9:30 pm. Cocktails are served from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The Priory’s Chefs, Pete Phillipy and Michael Henney, are importing Spargel directly from Germany and featuring it in a wide variety of dishes. This event will feature live entertainment and a cash bar.
