Sembène Film Festival: Panomundo

Come to Alphabet City for a screening of Panomundo presented by Sembène-The Film & Art Festival. The first of a series, Panomundo Part 1: The Evolution of the Steelpan is a look at the history of the steelpan, or steel drum, from its inception in Trinidad and Tobago, to its gaining of international recognition at the Festival of Britain in 1951, and the impact of the steelpan around the world today.
