Children’s Museum Hosts Sensory Friendly Events

Sensory Friendly Afternoon
Tuesday, August 9 – 1:00 to 5:00 pm
Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Sensory Processing Disorders can enjoy fun and friendly experiences in a comfortable and accepting environment. Announcement and exhibit sound volume will be reduced, and sound reducing headphones will be available.

Sensory Friendly Early Open
Sunday, August 14 – 9:00 to 11:00 am
The Children’s Museum is opening Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: A Grr-ific Exhibit early for their friends with sensory sensitivities. Participants can sing, explore, and pretend in some favorite places from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood!  At 9:00 am, program participants will have early access to the exhibit for an hour before the Museum opens to the public. At 10:00 am, the fun continues with Daniel Tiger themed activities in a private play space.
