The Hot Club Jazz: In-Person. Featuring Louis Armstrong
Tuesday, July 20 from 8:00 to 9:15 pm
The Hot Club is a jazz listening session shared on 78rpm records – the oldest and rarest records that capture truly high quality sound. The goal of these sessions is to make the beauty of classic jazz recordings available to all, to hear lesser known work from great musicians, and share your thoughts with fellow listeners in real time. It’s a book club for jazz fans. The July session of The Hot Club features a deep dive into the life and work of Louis Armstrong. This presentation includes rare and recently discovered images from over 100 years ago and state of the art restorations of Louis’ earth shaking, life altering recordings. This program is in-person only at the Sampsonia Way Tent. Seats are limited.
