Tree Pittsburgh is offering a Tree Tender Certification Course on Saturday, July 11 in Manchester. This class is for anyone who may be interested in learning more about involvement in the urban forest or trees in general. This course covers urban forestry practices, tree biology and health, basic tree identification, proper pruning and maintenance, and instruction on how to lead your community in organizing tree plantings and tree care.
Tree Tenders are making a difference in Pittsburgh, planting trees and caring for existing ones – ensuring a healthy urban forest for generations to come.
The Tree Tender Class will be held on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, at the Manchester Citizens Corporation, located at 1319 Allegheny Avenue in neighboring Manchester.
