Virtual Café Sci: Why Do You Need an Immune Response?

Have you ever wondered about the importance of our Immune System? If so, virtually attend Carnegie Science Center‘s next Virtual Café Sci to hear the lecture, Within Your Body: Why do you need an immune response? given by Dr. Tullia C. Bruno, Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Our immune systems are internal barometers that maintain natural homeostasis within our body. While the basic principles of how the immune system works have been identified, there is a need to discover how our immune system can fight or adapt to new foreign invaders (e.g., COVID-19) and avoid immune evasion by mutated viruses, bacteria, or cancer cells.

Virtual Café Sci is free and will be held on Monday, March 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Preregistration is required. For more information, or to register for your free virtual seat, visit the Virtual Café Sci: Within Your Body: Why do you need an immune response? event page.
