Volunteer Sweeps at Riverview Park

Can You Help During Volunteer Sweeps at Riverview Park?

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Staff hold regularly scheduled group Volunteer Sweeps at our Pittsburgh Parks. At each of the Volunteer Sweeps, a small group of volunteers (typically 5 to 15) better the health of the park by cutting vines, pulling invasive plants, and clearing trash. Projects vary by season. Tools, gloves and training are provided to the volunteers.

Can you join the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Staff as they work in Riverview Park? Several Volunteer Sweeps have been scheduled at Riverview Park:

Thursday, May 5 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Saturday, May 21 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Thursday, June 2 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Tuesday, June 14 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Thursday, June 30 6:00 to 8:00 pm

Participants should meet at Chapel Shelter in Riverview Park, located at 366 Riverview Avenue. All ages are welcome to volunteer. Those age 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, or to register to volunteer, visit the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Park Events webpage.
