Volunteers Needed for Doors Open Pittsburgh

On Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 2016, you can be part of Doors Open Pittsburgh!

Doors Open Pittsburgh is a FREE 2-day event, giving participants behind-the-scenes access to many of the iconic buildings of Pittsburgh that are rarely, if ever, opened to the public. Theaters, private clubs, hotels, residential, adaptive reuse, government buildings, sacred places, artists spaces, and heritage sites, can be experienced in a way that is not typically available to the general public.

Many volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Can you help? Volunteer Greeters will be used to greet visitors at the entrance to each site and to track visitor attendance. Volunteer Guides will be used to provide guided, or semi-guided tours, of a particular site. As a Volunteer, you would work one 4-hour shift over the weekend at a specific site – leaving plenty of time to enjoy the event yourself!

As an Doors Open Pittsburgh Volunteer, you will receive:
  • A Fast-Pass for you and a guest to advance to the front of the line at any participating site
  • An invite to a post-event celebration
  • A snappy-looking Doors Open Pittsburgh volunteer t-shirt!

If you need more information, or are interested in volunteering, visit the Doors Open Pittsburgh website, and the Doors Open Pittsburgh Volunteer webpage.
