Allegheny Racism Discussion Movie Night: White Like Me

Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church invites you to the next installment of Allegheny Racism Discussion Movie Night. The movie of the evening will be the 2013 documentary White Like Me, based on the writings of anti-racism educator Tim Wise. Wise offers a fascinating look back at the race-based white entitlement programs that built the American middle class, and argues that our failure as a society to come to terms with this legacy of white privilege continues to perpetuate racial inequality and race-driven political resentments today.

White Like Me will be shown on Friday, February 24, at 6:00 pm at Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 416 West North Avenue. A discussion will follow the film. Snacks and drinks are encouraged. For more information, visit the Allegheny Racism Discussion Movie Night event page.
