Weather Permitting is taking its summertime, outdoor show inside to help break up the monotony of winter. Come out to The New Bohemian on the North Side for Winter Weather Permitting – hang out, snack hard and jam to the sounds of local musicians in a space that is kid friendly and accessible to everyone.
Weather Permitting is a promotional outdoor weekly concert series that is typically held in Shadyside during the summer. Their events feature bands, beer from local breweries, food trucks and a farmer’s marketplace. They have also been known to have squirt gun battles and hula-hoop fun for kids of all ages. More than just an event, this collaboration of local folks was built with the intention of supporting and promoting small businesses.
The local bands scheduled to play at the Winter Weather Permitting event are The Red Western, ViraSamba, and Union Rye. Food trucks include Mac and Gold and Brassero Grill, as well as brews from Rock Bottom.
Winter Weather Permitting will be held on Sunday, February 8, at The New Bohemian, located at 887 Progress Street in neighboring East Deutschtown. Doors open at 3:00 pm and music is from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. For more information, visit the Weather Permitting website or Facebook page.
