Youth Grow: Terrarium Treasures

The Children’s Museum is hosting a Youth Grow event to help youth and teens explore, create, and share.

Terrariums keep plants close and warm during winter hibernation. On Wednesday, December 3, your child can learn how to build a terrarium using colorful plants, moss, and even creating a scene with figurines! Participants should bring their own jar, fishbowl, or other glass container for the terrarium.

The Youth Grow event will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Parents are not required to attend. Participants must be at least 10 years old.

This program is sponsored by the Hive Fund for Connected Learning at the Sprout Fund. The Hive Learning Network supports connected learning experiences that prepare tweens, teens, and young adults for college, the workforce, and civic participation.

Tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the Children’s Museum until the start of the event or by calling 412-322-5058 ext 240. Space is limited, so make your reservation soon. For more information, view the Youth Grow: Terrarium Treasures event page.
