The Pittsburgh Yoga Collective (PYC) is offering a 10-week Youth Yoga program at Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center. Classes will be held once a week and will be taught by a certified Yoga Alliance teacher.
Yoga helps with concentration, balance, sleep, muscle development, physical fitness and brain function. PYC instructors teach yoga to support resilience, reduce stress and empower participants to make healthy life choices. Yoga offers a noncompetitive physical activity that can improve mindfulness and physical health. Through PYC Youth-Yoga, children will learn invaluable tools that will translate out-side of the class into their everyday lives. Classes are inclusive and welcoming to children with disabilities.
Youth Yoga is FREE and open to all Northside children ages 6-10. Classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 until 11:00 am from April 25 to June 27. Classes will be at Neu Kirche Contemporary Art Center, located at 810 Tripoli Street in neighboring Deutschtown.
