For ten years, City of Asylum has been “giving voice” in alleys, tents, and private homes around Pittsburgh’s Northside. Next year, City of Asylum’s programs for exiled and underrepresented voices will be moving to its new cultural center, Alphabet City, in the historic Masonic Hall. Alphabet City gives a permanent home to City of Asylum’s programs and helps ensure the success of the organization for years to come.
To celebrate the start of this exciting new phase, City of Asylum is hosting a fundraiser to give supporters “A Taste of the Future.” Guests will have an opportunity to preview the plans and programs for Alphabet City and be the very first to savor the eclectic fare of its award-winning restaurant.
A Taste of the Future will be held on Saturday, August 29, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. For more information about the fundraiser, or to purchase your ticket, visit A Taste of the Future event page. If you have questions, email Adam Stokes or call 412-323-0278.
