Salon Reading: Horacio Castellanos Moya

Enjoy an evening with former City of Asylum Writer-in-Residence, Horacio Castellanos Moya. He will be reading from his most recent novel, The Dream of My Return.

Horacio Castellanos Moya is a Salvadoran novelist, short story writer, and journalist. He is the author of ten novels, five short story collections, and a book of essays. For two decades, he worked as a journalist in Mexico, Guatemala and Venezuela. He was a writer-in-residence at Frankfurt International Book Fair (2004-2006) and at City of Asylum (2006-2011). Currently on the faculty at the University of Iowa, he also taught in the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Five of his novels are now available in English: Senselessness,She-Devil in the Mirror, Dance with Snakes, Tyrant Memory and The Dream of My Return.

The FREE Salon Reading with Horacio Castellanos Moya will be held at City of Asylum on Tuesday, April 28. A reception is scheduled for 7:00 pm. The Salon Reading begins at 7:30 pm and will be followed by dessert and informal conversation at 8:30 pm.
