Allegheny City Central residents Julie Peterson and Lynsey Arch invite you to celebrate the opening of their 2,000-square-foot studio at 835 Western Avenue. Join them on Saturday, June 28 starting at 4 p.m. for wine and hors d’oeuvres and take a tour of their space. The studio will serve as the new home of their respective businesses, House of Colour Pittsburgh and Physique Rx’d.
Peterson’s House of Colour Pittsburgh (HOCP) is Pittsburgh’s only Personal Color Analysis and Image Consultancy. HOCP has been based on Pittsburgh’s North Side for the past two years and the clientele has grown to more than 400. Peterson offers classes and private consultations designed to help people make smarter — and easier — choices when it comes to their wardrobes and personal image.
Saturday’s launch party means House of Colour Pittsburgh will be the first of HOC’s 20+ franchises nationwide to expand into an independent retail space.
Through Physique Rx’d, Arch is excited to bring better balance, health, and the celebration of the master, Joseph Pilates, to the North Side. Her goal is to provide a convenient studio for the community to come to feel good, balanced and complete. At Physique Rx’d, Arch scales the workout to individual personal fitness levels. Personal coaching is included in every group session. The programs are designed to increase core strength and flexibility, all while gaining endurance and improving alignment and balance.
“The fit of the two brands is perfect as we want to promote wellness from the inside out,” explains Peterson. “It’s my job to dress the person you are on the inside and show it to the outside world. It is Lynsey’s role to educate and teach her clients how to develop, maintain and structure their bodies for life.”
The expansion into a new space will allow HOC to host larger classes and corporate events with a main studio and makeup room, all filled with beautiful, natural light.
