October’s Neighborhood Safety Meeting Highlights

Allegheny City Central Association’s first monthly Neighborhood Safety Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 29, 2014 at Carnegie Library – Allegheny. In attendance at the meeting were Chief Cameron McLay, Zone 1 Commander RaShall Brackney, Community Officer Larry Crawford, Councilwoman Darlene Harris and about 35 residents from our community.

ACCA-Safety-CommitteeThe group came up with ten issues throughout the neighborhood that need to be worked on by both the Police and community members. After the group prioritized the issues, there was a short review of the top four to determine what actions can be taken to improve each of them.

All of the identified issues will be reviewed, and detailed action plans will be developed at the next Neighborhood Safety Meeting.
