Stoop is a Verb culminates 10 years of Oliver Lake’s creative work and residencies at City of Asylum Pittsburgh. One of America’s foremost jazz saxophonists and composers, Lake has created a 70 minute song-cycle for a jazz quartet, about living on the Northside – where in the words of one resident, “Stoop is a Verb.” Stoop is a Verb will be performed at City of Asylum on Saturday, July 11.
City of Asylum invites you to help them create the story of Stoop is a Verb, this time with photos! City of Asylum is looking for photos of the Northside that express “what stoop means to you.”
You can submit as many photos as you would like. The photographs should be as large a resolution as possible (920 x 1080 or larger) and the photo format should be JPG, TIF, or PIC. Feel free to include a brief description of each photo.
